Building and Facilities Construction Coordinator
Join our Property and Development team and play a key role in delivering and preserving quality affordable housing for the Santa Barbara community! Under general direction, Building and Facilities Construction Coordinator oversees construction, rehabilitation, renovation, and maintenance projects of considerable scope for Housing Authority owned properties. This role collaborates closely with departments, contractors, agencies, and residents and provides leadership and technical guidance to staff and third-party partners. The position performs highly responsible and complex technical work requiring strong decision-making, accountability, project coordination skills and a commitment to community-focused development.
Full-time 9/80 schedule with offices closed alternate Fridays. Performs duties in-person in an office, residential and construction field environments.
Total compensation package includes competitive 5 step salary range $46.52-$56.54 per hour and bilingual premium pay (if applicable). HACSB offers eligible employees a generous and well-rounded benefit package.

The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara helps low-income Santa Barbara residents achieve self-sufficiency by providing employment and job opportunities through its Intern Training Program.

The Housing Authority may provide a preference to applicants who meet one or more of the criteria listed below. We encourage individuals who reside in a Housing Authority property, are a housing program participant with the Housing Authority or live within the metropolitan area (or non-metropolitan area of the county) of Santa Barbara and are considered a “low-income” family or individual, as defined in Section 135.5, to apply to participate in this program, however this is not a requirement.
