SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Santa Barbara County residents are getting a chance to participate in Housing Santa Barbara Day 2024 this weekend.
Happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Santa Barbara’s De La Guerra Plaza, the free event is hosted by 2nd Story Associates, the non-profit affiliate of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara (HACSB).
The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara is seeing the effects of the housing crisis among locals every day.
“We are literally living through a housing crisis nationally, and nowhere is that worse than right here in our own city of Santa Barbara. We need to do more,” said executive director Rob Fredericks of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara.
This year, the agency is experiencing a growing number of calls from locals seeking housing support in Santa Barbara.
