HACSB offers eligible employees a generous and well rounded benefit package containing a wide range of benefits and services which includes:

CORE BENEFITS

Cafeteria Benefit Plan

HACSB provides a generous cafeteria benefit allowance for eligible employees to be used to contribute to the cost of the employee’s medical, dental, vision and life insurance premium plans offered by HACSB.  The amount of cafeteria benefit allowance varies by position classification and coverage type selected by the employee. If the benefit allowance exceeds the employee’s insurance premiums cost, the leftover amount will be added to the employee’s paycheck as taxable income.

Group Health Plan

Because everyone has different health care needs and preferences, HACSB offers its employees a choice of medical plan options designed to best meet the individual needs of the employees and their families including HMO, PPO and Health Savings Account (HSA) Plan options.

Dental Plan

HACSB offers a choice between DPO and HMO style dental plans.

Vision Plan

Vision coverage is offered to HACSB employees. The Plan allows participants to use any vision care provider, but participants receive the most value from their benefit if they select an in network provider.

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

HACSB employees receive Group Term Life insurance and AD&D coverage. The coverage amount varies per classification.  HACSB pays the entire cost of this important protection for most classifications. Additionally, employees have the option to purchase additional or supplemental life insurance coverage.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance

The LTD Plan offers financial assistance for unexpected injuries and illnesses that last for an extended period. The Plan pays a monthly benefit of 60% of pay up to a maximum monthly benefit amount for eligible employees.  HACSB pays the full cost of this protection.

RETIREMENT PLANS

401(a) Employees’ Money Purchase Pension Plan

The well-being of its employees during their retirement years is of utmost importance to HACSB.

HACSB currently contributes 12% of the employee’s compensation to the 401(a) Plan on behalf of all eligible employees.  HACSB contributes an additional matching contribution into the Plan for eligible HACSB employees through a dollar to dollar match on the employee’s salary deferral contribution to HACSB’s 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan.  Salary deferral contributions that are over 5% of the employee’s compensation will not be matched. Therefore, the maximum employer contribution into the Plan is currently 17%.
